Giving 5 stars for now due to it being authentic. I did all the research to define if it is real or not so you don’t have to. These are no longer made by bayer so they will not have a bayer logo. They will not come with deflectors. They will not have bayers address on the tin. The company has been taken over by Elanco. The tin will have raised lettering, the company’s address on back. the lot number is stamped on the back of the tin as well as the bag the collar is in and then it is etched into the collar itself, all 3 of these lot numbers match. I will update on effectiveness after we try it out.

Our chihuahua was miserable. We had tried every over-the-counter and prescription flea medication possible. No matter what, by the second dose or application, the fleas became resistant. When these collars first came out, they were almost twice as expensive, and I was incredibly apprehensive in buying one. However, after spending $600 on a vet bill (changing flea medication, once again, and treating the staph infection my dog and his scratching had caused), I was desperate. I read the reviews and saw that some dogs had bad reaction, so when the collar arrived, I opened the package and let it sit for 24 hours before putting in on my pet, as another customer had suggested (he is only 4 lbs, so I wanted to take every precaution). Not only did he NOT have a reaction, about 2 weeks later, we did NOT have any fleas. It was actually a bit miraculous. When we added another fur-baby to the family, in the form of a rescued pit with only one eye, we bought a Seresto collar (he had battled a serious flea infestation when the ASPCA first acquired him, and I did not want him to suffer through that again). Same procedure--I let it sit exposed to air for at least 24 hours before placing it on him, and viola! My only negative comment, which is not really negative, is that I do not think they last 8 months. I replaced my little one's after about 6 months when I noticed him scratching again, and likewise, our pit began scratching after about 6 months. Still, for the price, 6 months of flea protection is a bargain, and they have dropped a bit in cost in the last two years, anyway. When we purchase new collars in the next month or two (that 6 month mark is approaching, it will be the fourth collar for our little Rex, and third for big Bacon, with almost 2 years of no fleas in our house. I love this product!

We have been battling fleas for about a year. Each animal seems to have a sensitivity to SOMETHING, whether is be a spray, a shampoo, a back of the neck application, i even went with “natural” combinations of essential oils, i even tried diatomaceous earth! (BTW, DE was terrible, just a mess and come to find out, dangerous for the respiratory system). I’ve always hated the idea of flea collars because when i was little, i was told you could not touch the dog if it has a flea collar on. Well, i was at a loss. Nothing was working, even the really expensive back of the neck treatments. The chihuahua was turning into a big hot spot, the poor cat was turning into a scab, and i was finding fleas in my bed and in my childrens hair!!! UNacceptable! I read many reviews on this product. I finally broke down and bought them, i have 2 large cats, 1 medium sized dog and 1 small dog. I put these on them almost a month ago. 2 days and the animals were flea free. It took about 5 days for ALL the fleas in the house to die. ALL OF THEM. They were no longer in the carpet, no longer on the couch, not in or under the beds! Nothing at all on the animals! My heart lifted, but paused as i waited for the allergic reactions i just knew were bound to follow. Nothing. Scabby McCat no longer has scabs, Itchy McHotSpot’s skin is finally no longer red and her fur is growing back, even the cat who i thought was coming to the end of his life (14y/o) has perked up enormously (he HAD to have been anemic). These collars so far are a blessing. Their smell isnt overwhleming and seems to go away, you can still wash the animal with it intact and it continues to do its job. No irritations to animals or people. I cant say enough. The only thing we’re waiting for now is to see how long they continue to work.

The most dependable flea and tick preventative and we use this size on our bird dogs who run around in the fields and hunt and they don’t lose them even if they go swimming. Even in the summer they have not brought tick or fleas in the house that survived or were found. Dogs are very healthy. Nothing else works but this product. It it seems expensive to you then put it on affirm. It will last an entire year. We put on a fresh one each spring when we see the first big and that collar lasts an entire year. We have them on autoship twice a year to spread out the coat so they are ready to replace in the spring. And a bonus is that is that just in case one is lost or broken through horseplay which is very rare we have a backup. They don’t smell like anything either. They come with reflector clips.

We had issues with fleas from all three of my dogs, and one of my friends had recommended these to me. I have not seen a single flea since I started using these flea collars. They are a little bit pricey, but worth every penny. My dogs have no reactions to them. They sit comfortably around their necks.

I have a mini Australian Shepard and we live near the woods in GA. Needless to say the fleas and ticks here are a dime a dozen. I have tried the drops, the organic clips you attach to their collar, soaps, pills, etc… they ALL left him scratching away the night just as miserable as can be; he even got hot spots. My mom told me about Seresto collars. She has been using them on her cats and dogs for years. She lives in a tropical environment on the water in FL. I finally listened and wish I did years ago. I could not believe how FAST and EFFECTIVE these collars WORK and CONTINUALLY WORK!! They are made with great quality and have NO SMELLl. If you want your cat or dog to be happy, FLEA AND TICK FREE, absolutely do yourselves a favor and GET THIS COLLAR! Not kidding. This might be my 5th review I’ve ever left and I’m in my 30’s. I just had to share, in high hopes you listen and it helps your fur babies like it has my family’s. 🫶🐶🐱

Incredible. We tried everything. These collars took care of a 2 month battle with fleas, overnight. Highly recommend.

Very honest review here. So I have had an extreme flea infestation in my home and yard. My home was so bad my dogs preferred to be outside. I have every flea pesticide and have tried every home remedy to were at one point I had diatomaceous earth, salt and baking soda all over my house. House full of dust on everything! Saw these and simply didn’t want to pay $100 for 2 flea collars. Finally it got to the point I was bathing what looked like millions of fleas off my dogs every 3 days. Broke down and bought 2 of these collars. In 1 week my dogs slept peaceful! Didn’t hear constant scratching and walking and whining all night. I cried in relief, seriously. Well I believe I messed up when after 3 weeks I REMOVED THE COLLARS to bathe them, left them off for maybe 3 hours so my dogs could dry completely. Immediately! A couple days after, they were scratching and whining. I’m going to replace the collars in maybe a month. Next time I won’t remove them at all for bath time because I honestly believe I messed up when I removed them.

I use this collar on one of my y dogs and it keeps the fleas off all of my dogs. This is the primary use that I buy this for; to keep the fleas away. I have used this brand for years and have never noticed any hair loss of my dog’s neck. It lasts for months and comes with a sticker to add to my calendar to know when to replace.

I have spent so much money on flea shampoo, pills and collars. My cats were having a reaction to the bites. This collar is a saving grace. The fleas are gone- their skin is healing and fur is smooth and soft again. Definable recommend...try 1st not last.
